Jennifer and Paul Mukendi's Wedding
Finally, Jennifer and Paul Mukendi married one another and their wedding was spectacular. Luckily, Jennifer let me be a big part of her wedding. For their wedding I was the bridesmaid's hair stylist, photographer, cake decorator and event organizer.
It was difficult helping Jen figure out times that would fit everything perfectly, especially with when and where to take pictures and scheduling the wedding around those set times. We finally agreed upon an orderly, timed schedule and were able to go to all of the locations we were hoping to take photographs.
Early in the morning of Jen's wedding day, I did all of the bridesmaid's hair, styling them just the way they asked. There were four bridesmaids and only two hours to do hair and we later had to rush over to several locations I had the bridal party go to take the photographs.
We took pictures at the Topiary Gardens, in the heart of Columbus, with all of the beautiful shrubbery as the background and a beautiful, happy and absolutely head over heals couple to photograph. We then headed to The Ohio State University stadium to take some fun photos at the entrance gate where we did football poses with the entire bridal party! Right after we were finished with that we went to a place that isn't very romantic to most people, but is quite romantic to that charming couple; the gym! I photographed them at the place they first met, taking pictures of them shooting a couple of hoops together on the court and taking a "team" photo of the bridal party on the bleachers. It was a great time had by all!
It was my job as the photographer to direct everyone on how to pose, where to stand and to make sure everyone looked their absolute best for the photos that are memories to last a lifetime. Throughout the entire time of me photographing the bridal party, I had taken trust in a friend to deliver the cake to the venue, early and without any damages to it. She proved my trust in her when it arrived an hour early and in perfect shape! It was an exciting, eventful and fun day working with the Mukendi newlyweds and I would love to do more events just like this!
